Mission & Goals
In response to economic globalization, the restructuring of Taiwan’s industrial sectors, industrial relocation, global corporate deployment, and major transformations in business operations in the Mainland Chinese market and international trade, our department applied to the Ministry of Education to establish the nation’s first International Business Department within the technological and vocational education system. The department aims to cultivate talent capable of engaging in international business—especially business activities related to Mainland China—for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Based on the needs of SMEs engaging in international business, our department collaborated with SMEs from various industries and professional managers to design a curriculum that covers international economics and trade, international business management, international finance, and foundational international business courses (including e-commerce and international business languages). To meet the growing demand of enterprises expanding into the Mainland Chinese market, the department offers a series of courses on Mainland China’s economy and trade, market environment, and investment, helping Taiwanese enterprises develop talent equipped to conduct cross-strait business activities.
